Our Junior Skills Centre are seen as our stepping stone phase. In this phase, we still continue with our sensory and perceptual programs and most lessons are done practically, but we also start focusing more on adding functional literacy, functional numeracy, life, and social skills.
In this phase it is important for the teacher to understand each child’s personality and personal interest because during these years the learners are developing their own identities and it might be a difficult period for them.

Our program allows for a total of 60% formalized therapeutic intervention, comprising of 40% Movement Program and 20% Life Skills. Another 40% of the time is allocated to academic work in preparation for either a re-integration into our EduExcellence Schools or our Intermediate Skills Centre. All these activities take place within our therapeutic environment.
